Celebrating The End of Summer

Recently the days have started to get a little cooler, and the gentle breeze reminds us that Fall will soon be making its debut. However, not before we celebrate the last long weekend of the season. We have curated a few activities that you can include in your end of summer celebration:

The Metropolitans Opera HD Festival
The 15th annual Met Opera’s Summer HD Festival will feature 10 screenings this year. The free performances will be broadcasted on an enormous screen on the façade of the opera house at Lincoln Center, where guests can watch from any of the 3,000 seats being made available.
The screenings run from now thru September 2nd.

Kayak on The Hudson River
Sprinkle in a little adventure into your weekend by kayaking up The Hudson River. For a little more excitement, add standup paddle boarding or sailing to the weekend line-up.

Day Trip to Governors Island
Take a quick 5-minute ferry ride to Governors Island and enjoy a plethora of activities which include nature walks, bike riding, viewing different art exhibitions at the art center or soaking in the transformative public art. Tulum-based sea based beach club, Gitano, is back on Governors Island and celebrated for their tasty upscale Mexican fare, inventive cocktails amidst the perfect backdrop.

End of Summer Fireworks
Watching the light show in the New York skies is always a spectacular way to end summer. Soak in the sights while strolling along the boardwalk at Luna Park, and step inside the main area and experience the sky light up above the rides with Coney Island as the backdrop.
